Feb 26, 2020 · If you happen to come across this issue, you can use the Windows 10 System File Checker (SFC), which is a command-line tool designed to scan the integrity and restore missing or corrupted system I was now able to get into the vpn setting menu. The VPN still would not connect. I rebooted my machine and tried going to VPN settings and it froze again like before (same symptoms).
